You can make specific gifts of money and property in your Will. Gifts to a registered charity, to a recognised political party and certain other gifts are not subject to Inheritance Tax. You can also make gifts in life of certain amounts and to certain people each year and; you can make substantial gifts which if you survive for seven years will be free of any liability to Inheritance Tax on your death.
